On the 14th of April we will host another screening of the 6th season of Polish Cinema for Beginners, this time devoted to the most interesting Polish music films. On Thursday we would like to invite you to a screening of “the Lure” by Agnieszka Smoczyńska.

What if two mermaids emerged from Vistula river and with their singing enchanted the local visitors of Warsaw discos? If you become mesmerized by their voices, better watch your back – our beautiful seducers are incapable of love, but what’s more, following their blood-thirsty nature they like to have a munch on some tasty humans. Musical by Agnieszka Smoczyńska with songs written by the Ballady i Romanse duo, was awarded at this year’s Sundance Film Festival for the “unique vision and design”.

Our guest will be Konrad Imiela – Theatre, television and film actor as well as a composer, author of lyrics and theatre director. Since 2003 connected with “Capitol” music theatre in Wrocław, where since 2006 he has been working as the head and art director. Since 2007 he has been overseeing the artistic side of the Stage Song Contest in Wrocław. The meeting will be hosted by Adam Kruk – a journalist and film critic, responsible for the PCFB programme.

The screening of “the Lure” will take place on the 14th of April at 19:00 in Kino Nowe Horyzonty. Tickets can be purchased in the cinema box office and on kinonh.pl.
